Akiko N Leahy

Akiko N. Leahy, sadly left us on January 18, 2023 at her home in Boca Raton, Florida of natural causes at age 73. AKIko was preceded in death by her father Takeshi Nagano, mother Tatsuko Nagano and her sister Keiko Nagano.

Akiko was born in Tokyo Japan on Christmas day in 1949. She spent her life spreading joy. She received her bachelor degree from Japan Women’s University. As a Snowbird she split her time between Belmont, MA and Boca Raton, FL. Akiko was a naturalized US citizen. She had a 30 year career as a real estate broker in the Boston, MA area. Akiko‘s greatest joys were dancing and cooking and reading, also shopping at Filene's Basement in Boston and had a passion for hunting down BU-BO‘s. She was an accomplished tennis player which led her to meet her spouse of 40 years Patrick. She was known as a "Gym Rat." She took every ballet, dance and yoga class in the area.

In accordance with Buddhist law Akiko will be cremated. Akiko is survived by her husband, John Patrick Leahy, sister Setsuko Nagano and a nephew Toshi Woudenberg. There will be no funeral or memorial service.
