In Loving Memory of Andrew “Andy” Jude Nering November 9, 1964 – October 3, 2025
Andrew “Andy” passed away on October 3, 2025, in Boynton Beach, Florida, at the age of 60. Born in New York, NY, on November 9, 1964, Andy lived a life full of energy, generosity, and mechanical brilliance.
Andy is survived by his sister, Judy Michelson (Nering), who cherishes the countless memories they shared. He also leaves behind a wide circle of friends and colleagues who were touched by his warmth, humor, and unwavering positivity.
Andy built a successful career in the world of drag racing, serving as a crew member on several NHRA teams and earning recognition as crew chief for Al Hoffmann. His passion for engines and precision extended beyond the racetrack—later in life, Andy drove semi-trucks for Spevco, proudly showcasing Snap-On products across the country.
Known for his love of holidays, Andy transformed every Christmas into a dazzling celebration. He had a knack for finding the best fireworks—he “knew a guy”—and lit up the neighborhood with spectacular displays that were as loud as they were beautiful. His joy was contagious, and his generosity knew no bounds.
Andy could fix anything. Whether it was a broken appliance, a stubborn engine, or a friend’s bad day, he had the tools, the talent, and the heart to make things better. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he created.
Donations can be made in Andy's memory to Boca Helping Hands supporting Palm Beach County residents in times of need.
