Beatrice (“Bea”) Rush, born in Ludlow, MA May 9, 1929, passed away December 31, 2021. Formally of Indian Orchard, MA, Springfield, MA, and Chicopee MA, Bea was residing in Boynton Beach, FL with her daughter Terra at the time of her death.
Bea is survived by her daughter Terra Christa of Boynton Beach, daughter Karen Krol of Gales Ferry, CT Karen’s loving husband Christopher Krol, and son Kenneth Rush, Jr. of Lakewood Ranch, FL and Ken’s loving wife Janet Rush. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law George and Myra Robitaille of Ludlow MA, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Bea was the daughter of the late Armand Robitaille and Margret (Dupont) Robitaille and preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years Kenneth (“Kenny”) Rush, her sister Shirley Herbert, brothers Roland Robitaille and Eugene Robitaille, Eugene’s loving wife Jannette Robitaille and Shirley’s loving husband Valmore Herbert.
She graduated from the Springfield High School of Commerce in 1947 and married Kenny in 1948. She enjoyed her family and friends and hosted many gatherings at her and Kenny’s summer cottage. Bea was very involved in her faith and church and had been an active member of the Third Order of Saint Dominic (Lay Dominicans) at the Dominican Monastery of the Mother of God in West Springfield, MA.
She had an interesting journey through life and has touched the lives of many people who would all have a kind word to say about her. She has lived the good life filled with kindness and consideration for others, a life of sharing and helping whenever she could, and a life of always seeing the goodness in others and provided an example for her children and for the people whose lives she touched.
A Memorial and Celebration of Bea’s life will be held late spring 2022 in Springfield, MA at a date to be announced.
