Born: May 21, 1937
Passed Away: April 4, 2023
Carol Ann Slazinski of Boynton Beach, FL & Southfield, MI passed away on April 4, 2023 at the age of 85. Carol was one of 4 daughters born and raised in Detroit, MI in 1937 to Aime and Marie Glandon. Carol was a proud mother of 4 children, Barbara (Kevin) Maloney, Dawn (Mike) Richter, John (Rhonda) Slazinski, and Michael (Georgianna) Slazinski, and was the best Grammy to 7 grandchildren (Lauren, Ty, Alivia, Tanner, Clark (Sophia), Quinn and Sinclair) and one great grand baby (Leo). She leaves behind her only remaining sister, Barbara Jean, many nieces and nephews, whom she adored, and 3 of her lifelong friends (Paula, Vicky and Jane). She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters Marlene and Joan.
Carol loved her life! She will be remembered for her youthful and fun-loving disposition. To know her was to thoroughly love her and enjoy her! She had a smile that lit up the room, and a hug for everyone she met. Carol had a competitive spirit. She was a great golfer, playing on many golf leagues over the years, playing cards (and would usually wind up taking the money after a good game of Euchre), completing newspaper cross word puzzles and watching Jeopardy. Upon relocating to Boynton Beach Florida in 2003, she thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her daughter Dawn(Mike), shopping, and soaking in the sun, sand and surf. She especially enjoyed spending quality time with family during visits back to Michigan, Sugarland Texas, Sanibel Island, Key West and Las Vegas. In fact, Carol had the best time celebrating her 85th birthday with her family in Las Vegas last May.
Carol had a special relationship with each one of her kids and grandkids, who thought the world of her. She will be sorely missed. A memorial celebrating Carol’s life will be held at a later date.
Those desiring may make a donation in Carol’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
