Daniel E Devotie

Daniel Edgar Devotie , 74, of Belle Glade , Florida , passed away at his residence after a brief battle with cancer on August 7, 2020. He was surrounded by his family. He was born to parents Magdaline Mills Devotie and Edgar Devotie on January 29, 1946 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

He attended Mainland High School in Daytona Beach Florida.
He went on to study electronics at Palm Beach State College.
Daniel worked as a TV Repairman and owned his own repair shops and video stores throughout his life.

He enjoyed going on cruises and was an avid gambler. He also held and interest in computer and software programming and created many of his own programs for fun.

Daniel met Hyon Devotie in 1988. They were married on April 1, 1989 in Faceville, Georgia . Together they raised Daniel's daughter from a previous marriage.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 31 years, Hyon Devotie, his daughter, Katherine Bishop, his son-in-law, Gregory Bishop, and his granddaughter, Blakely Bishop. He also will be missed by his niece, Melissa Simmons, nephew, Douglas Jones, niece, Melanie Jones, and a host of friends that he has called family along the way.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his brother, Douglas B. Jones of Tifton, Ga., and his sister, Mavis J. Hill of Wellington, Fl.

The family has entrusted A Cremation Service of the Palm Beaches with the arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date, to be announced.
