PORT CLINTON — Donald L. Nuismer, 77, of Port Clinton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Sunday, April 9, 2017, in the VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. He endured MS for 50 years.
He was born Dec. 22, 1939, in Grand Haven, Mich., the son of Joseph and Ruth (Olsen) Nuismer. Donald was a Port Clinton High School graduate. He served in the United States Navy.
Donald enjoyed cars, music, collecting antiques, repairing clocks and furniture, helping others in any way possible and, most of all, spending quality time with his family.
Donald is survived by his twin daughters, Laura (James) Duncan of Sandusky and Tracy (Troy) Hardy of Boynton Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Heather, Hillary and Trey; former wife, Susan Lambert Keefer; as well as his brothers, Larry, John, Tony; and sister, JoEllen Ririe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert.
