Eugene R. Bianco

September 9, 1936 — October 30, 2021

Eugene R. Bianco, 85, passed away peacefully in his home on Oct 30, 2021, after succumbing to ALS. He was born in Mt. Vernon, NY to Remo and Chloe Bianco.

Eugene and his parents moved to Bayshore as a child and lived and raised his family in Islip most of his life. Gene started his career in the US Army. After an honorable discharge, he then pursued a career in the boating world which he specialized in speed racing. To this day, he still holds the record for the fastest circumnavigation of Long Island. After many trophies and records, Gene moved to the mechanical side of his passion as he was fortunate to be mechanically gifted.

He and his father started their business, Bianco Marine, were he made his name. After a successful marine business, Gene transitioned his career with Entenmann’s Bakery in Bayshore NY as Fleet Director. This is where Gene forged a lifelong friendship with William Entenmann who was an avid fisherman.

After retiring from Entenmann’s Bakery, he had the fortune of being tasked to build “Mr. E’s” dream boat. After spending much time in Florida with the project, Gene and Maureen moved to Boynton Beach, FL, where he lived out the rest of his days.

Gene is survived by his dedicated and caring wife of 57 years, Maureen, their sons Todd of Reno NV, Troy (Tina) of Saratoga Springs NY, Thad (Victoria) of Lake Tahoe, CA and his loving grandchildren KC, Rema, and Ellery Bianco.
