Fred Hardison David Jr

December 13, 1950 — June 2, 2023

Fred Hardison David, Jr, age 72, passed away June 2, 2023 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was born December 13, 1950 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Fred and Regina David. Fred married Penny Gaile David November 10, 1983 who preceded him in death on April 13, 2023. November 10 would be their 40th wedding anniversary.

Fred grew up in Tampa, Florida where he attended Leto High school. At the age of 18,
Fred enlisted into the United States Air Force. Fred served as an Aeromedical technician and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served honorably, achieving the rank of Staff sergeant. Fred’s training in the Air Force led to a career he loved in medical sales.

Fred was an outdoorsman. He spent every free moment fishing with his wife Penny on Lake Okeechobee or hunting deer with his buddies at their hunt club in Georgia. Perhaps his most treasured trait, and the reason so many were drawn to him and loved him, was his ability to tell a great story. When Fred walked into a room he would light the place up. Whether he was telling stories about his time in the service, his fishing and travel fun with Penny, or adventures with his hunt club buddies, Fred knew how to draw everyone in and make them feel like they were right there with him. He loved a good audience and everyone loved him.

Fred is survived by his daughter Nikki (Ryan) , 5 grandchildren, Skylar, Berkeley, Noah, Nicolas and Natalie, 2 great grandchildren, Ezekiel, and Laelyn, a sister Diane (Wes) and nephews David, Michael, and Jared.

Family and friends are invited to the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 Fl-7, Lake Worth, Florida on November 9, 2023. Following a military funeral in lane 5 at 10am, family and friends are invited to honor the life of Fred David and Penny David under a reserved committal shelter.
