Judith Adams Nigro
1950 -2022
Judith Adams Nigro, a resident of Hobe Sound, Florida passed away peacefully at Vitas Hospice in Boynton Beach, Florida on November 25, 2022. She was born in Springfield, Vermont, daughter of Donald and Erma Adams, and grew up in Londonderry, Vermont. Following graduation from Burr and Burton Seminary in Manchester she attended Becker Junior College in Worcester, Massachusetts.
As a young woman Judith moved to Staten Island, New York. She became interested in the food service industry while working on Wall Street in NYC. Judith was the General Manager of several “Red Lobster” restaurants in various locations throughout her career.
It was while Judith was working on Wall Street that she met and married her soulmate, Richard Nigro. Judith was an excellent cook, a wonderful sister, a loving aunt, a devoted wife, and enjoyed her many friendships. She and Richard were the caretakers of her father, Donald Adams, in his declining years.
Judith was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Erma Adams, and by husband Richard Nigro in 2017. Judith is survived by her beloved sister Donna and her husband, Robert Garland, her nephews Darryl and Robin Garland along with their spouses and children, and by Judi’s caretakers in Florida, nephew Gerard and niece Maria Pergola, and their son Jake.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Hobe Sound, Florida at a date to be determined.
