Nancy Myers, beloved mother, grandmother, and wife, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at the age of 74.

Nancy was born in Allegan, Michigan on October 13, 1951 to Hope and Vernon Myers. She is survived by her husband, Alan Nusbaum; her children, Robert (Michelle) Niewoonder and Sandra Ream; her grandchildren Jesse Ream, Collin Ream, Katelyn Niewoonder, and Blake Niewoonder; her siblings Jerry Myers, Ken Myers, David Myers, and Melinda Myers. Along with her mother, Hope and father, Vernon, she was preceded in death by her brother, Butch Myers.

Nancy was always a believer in hard work. She was a junior accountant and was employed by a myriad of companies, but most of her career was spent working for Systems Engineering Laboratories/Gould and Banyan Golf Club. She took great pride in her job, and was loved by the club members and co-workers alike.

During the 1980’s, Nancy was known for taking on the Sunrise, Florida city council. Her tireless efforts resulted in the closure of a busy road leading into their residential neighborhood, which made the neighborhood a much nicer place to live.

Nancy bravely fought a fierce battle against glioblastoma. She survived this terrible disease for 4 years. She’s always been a fighter and inherited her feistiness from her mother, Hope. She was a good person and exemplified goodness in every facet of her life.
