Richard Edgar Griffin Jr. passed away at his residence in Lantana FL on November 4th, 2022.
He was born on February 2nd, 1960 at Piedmont hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
He was a true blessing to his parents Annelle and Richard Griffin Sr. who had since departed.
Friends and family referred to him as Ricky in his younger years but as time passed it transitioned to Rick.
Known by many names, Rick was loved by friends and neighbors who were endeared by his jokes and the way he made people laugh. The joy he found while playing sports and spending quality time with his son was unmatched. Rick was so fond and proud of his son Shane.
His daily role was not only as a father but also as a field customer service engineer. For most of his life, he repaired medical equipment in clinics/hospitals all over Florida; his ability to troubleshoot the machines were outstanding. This career path gave him a major feeling of pride given his ability to directly help people.
Rick’s major hobbies included tennis, diving, fishing, spending time in Saint Augustine, rollerblading, and watching the Georgia Football Games, GO DAWGS!
He left behind two younger siblings Laney Robinson along with Bill Griffin and their families.
Rick is now survived by his son Shane Griffin, daughter-in-law Madison Griffin, grand-dog Miller, and expected grandchild due early 2023.
