DOLORES M. COLALUCE
9/9/1928 NEW HAVEN, CT. – 4/12/2021 BOYNTON BEACH, FL.
Dolores Marion Carrano was born to Michael and Nannina Carrano in New Haven, CT on September 9, 1928. She grew up one of four children with Sister Lucille and Brothers Neil and Michael.
Family always came first with Dolores and she would share many stories of growing up in Connecticut. She would tell us of how her father was a strong man and how he loved and played practical jokes with family and friends. She also shared how her mother would always be ready to make a delicious Italian meal for any and all visitors at any time of day or night, especially eggplant parmigiana.
She met and married, Anthony Colaluce, while living in New Haven and started our family after moving to East Haven, CT, with a daughter named Lori and a son named Marc and then moving to South Florida for the remainder of her years.
Memories she shared were always centered around getting together with friends and family to eat, drink, sing, dance and socialize with each other. She followed her mother’s way by hosting many family and holiday events in our home over the years. Dolores enjoyed being outdoors and had quite a green thumb. Our home was always surrounded by beautiful landscaping. Travelling was another joy of hers taking our family to many places around the United States that were beautiful and educational for all of us, and created many wonderful memories.
Dolores was so full of love and kindness that she was an avid animal lover, a nursery school teacher and a Nanny which kept her around children and animals that she loved so much.
Grateful for having shared in her life are her Husband; Anthony Colaluce, Daughter; Lori Colaluce, Son; Marc Colaluce, Daughter-in-Law; Kimberlee Colaluce, Grand-Daughter; Charlize Colaluce and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
We love and miss our Dolores, Mom, Nana and Aunt.
Dolores M Colaluce will be laid to rest at East Lawn Cemetery in East Haven, Connecticut
We love and thank you all for your love and kindness in remembrance of our mother.
God Bless you all,
Anthony, Lori and Marc
