Thelma D. “Chickie” Watts
Thelma D. “Chickie” Roberts Watts, 80, passed away Thursday October 13, 2016 at home in Pompano Beach Florida surrounded by her family after a long illness.
Born Thelma D. Roberts September 13, 1936 in Fall River Massachusetts to parents Arthur Roberts and Annie Schofield Roberts, she was married to Joseph A. “Tootsie” Watts Jr. of Swansea MA, deceased. She was also the last surviving sibling to Ann Paul (Fall River, MA), Edward Parker (New York, NY), Arthur J. Roberts Jr. (Fall River, MA), Joseph F. Parker (Fall River, MA), and Robert Parker (Andover, MA).
She leaves behind her loving daughter Shirley and son in law Scott Smith (Pompano Beach FL), daughter Thelma “Peaches” and husband Mark Cioe (Swansea, MA), daughter Debra Minson (Fall River, MA), and son Patrick Bouchard, deceased (Pompano Beach, FL), and his wife Carol Bouchard.
She also leaves behind several grandchildren and great grand children as well as many nieces and nephew’s, especially William Paul of Lakeville MA.
Chickie was a welder, and welding instructor for General Dynamics at the Quincy Shipyards for 20 years. She loved music and food, and gambling whenever she could. She dearly loved her animals, including Mr. Boo, and Missy. She had a great affection for her family and friends and rejoins all those that passed before her in a better place to be embraced by their love. She will be sorely missed and loved in memory by her close family and those that knew her well.
There will be no formal memorial service by the family.
